Ginger growing in the Nambour area, Queensland

, : Ginger growing in the Nambour area, Queensland. Q. Rev. agric. Econ, Canberra 83-96

Gingetr growing is a small industry in the context of Australian agriculture, but in the Nambour area it makes an important contribution to agricultural diversification. Production there increased sharply during World War II, when imports were restricted, but when trading arrangements returned more to what they were before the war, imports rose and the local industry quickly regressed.
