cf. FA 28 No. 5227.) Seedlings of Picea mariana, P. glauca, Abies balsamea and Thuja occidentalis were grown in 13, 25, 45 and 100% of full daylight. After 4 years, oven-dry weight of shoots and roots of some seedlings of each species were determined, and after 9 years the remaining seedlings were assessed in terms of height, number of needles, root-collar diameter, and oven-dry weight of foliage, branch, main stem and total shoot.
