High-yielding til Pratap

, : High-yielding til Pratap. Indian Fmg, 19: 5, 25-26

In trials over seven years, Sesamum orientate 'Pratap' (C5) produced a 66% higher average yield than the local variety. It has an oil content of 53% compared' with the local which has 48% oil. It matures in 100 days and has white seeds. Pratap is characteristically unbranched and can be easily differentiated from the local by the arrangement of the six to eight-valved capsules in whorls.
