Investigations with the growth retardants Alar and CCC on vines

, : Investigations with the growth retardants Alar and CCC on vines. Schweiz. Z. Obst- u. Weinb, 106: 3-11. bibl. 14

Treatment with CCC reduced the growth and shoot weight of Riesling x Sylvaner, Blauburgunder and Bouvier vines, the greatest effect being achieved with spraying at full bloom. Alar only slightly reduced the shoot length. The yield and quality of the grapes were not affected by either material. No radioactivity was detected in the roots after the shoot tips had been treated with labelled CCC.
