, : Nutrition. A comprehensive treatise. Volume 3. Nutritional status: assessment and application. Nutrition. A comprehensive treatise. Volume 3. Nutritional status: assessment and application, Academic Press, Inc., New York: London, xvii+349. Price: $15.00

The middle volume of this treatise was noted in Abst. 5091, Vol. 35. This last, although the slimmest in size, is possibly the most interesting in content. In it we have reviews of the aims of the preceding volumes, namely, the application of the basic scientific knowledge with which they dealt to the study of nutrition of man in different stages of his development from infancy through childhood, adolescence, the reproductive period and old age.
