Data were obtained on 373 local and 611 imported White Leghorn, 730 Rhode Island Red and 103 Barred Plymouth Rock. In the 4 groups resp., the frequency of the G2A phenotype was 0.29, 2.29, 3.43 and 21.36%, that of the G2B phenotype 94.64, 80.36, 84.52 and 22.33% and that of the G2ABphenotype 5.09, 17.34, 12.05 and 56.31%; the G2A gene frequency was 0.028, 0.109, 0.094 and 0.495 and the G2B gene frequency 0.972, 0.890, 0.905 and 0.505.
