Predicting tree height growth from soil and topographic site factors in the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains

, : Predicting tree height growth from soil and topographic site factors in the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains. Res. Pap. Ga. For. Res. Coun, 54, 11

cf. F.A. 23 No. 4095.) A tabulated summary of information from a study of 10 commercial species (4 Quercus spp., 4 Pinus spp. and Liriodendron tulipifera) showing relationships between site index and various soil and topographic site characteristics; tables are also given relating site index to soil series for P. strobus, P. echinata and L. tulipifera. Of the variables measured, topographic features were more closely related to site quality than were physical or chemical soil properties.
