Raising the oil content of linseed cultivars in the process of seed production

, : Raising the oil content of linseed cultivars in the process of seed production. Selekcija i Semenovodstvo (Breeding & Seed-growing). 1, 43-45

On comparing 500-1000 families within each of three cultivars, variations of 4.3-5.2% in oil content were encountered. Sowing the bulked seed of the families with the highest content led to increases of 0.8-1.1% in oil content. The proportion of families exceeding the initial culti-var by 1% or over was 21.2-47.4% in the hybrid cultivar Avangard and 2.1-11.4% in the line selection Sibirjak.
