Resistance of winter wheat varieties to waterlogging as related to their physiological characters

, : Resistance of winter wheat varieties to waterlogging as related to their physiological characters. Trud. priklad. Bot. Genet. Selekc. (Trans. appl. Bot. Genet. Pl.-Breed.), 43: 1, 67-78

Studies of 34 Soviet cultivars belonging to a number of ecological groups when grown under conditions of waterlogging in the field and in pots showed the most resistant to be Mironovka 808, with a survival of 98.5% in the field and 94.2% in pots; the lowest survival was in Narymcanka, with 56.7% in the field and 21.2% in pots. There was a correlation of r = 0.70 between the two sets of results; between these results and winter hardiness the correlation was r = 0.63.
