Genetic studies with two Central American resistant lines, Zapolote Chico (AFRO 600) and Andaqui (AFRO 761), showed that each carried resistance genes, but whereas Zapolote Chico produced a reaction of large necrotic lesions, that of Andaqui was limited to minute chlorotic spots.
