Sensitivity of sown onions to Liro CIPC, Alicep and Ramrod at different growth stages

Onions Wolska were most sensitive to Liro CIPC (chlorpropham 40%) at 4-8 1. /ha at the loop stage, to Alicep (chlorbufam 20% + pyrazone 25%) 4-8 kg/ha at the loop and flag stages and to Ramrod (propachlor 65%) 5-10 kg/ha at germination and just after in pot trials in 1966-67. Spraying immediately after sowing was much safer than after germination. Chlorpropham was less toxic to the crop after germination than Alicep whereas Alicep was less toxic before germination.
