The addition of up to 10% rice bran to wilted chopped Ladino clover reduced spoilage and increased the lactic-acid content of the ensiled mixture. The addition of up to 25% dry, ground beet pulp to unwilted Ladino clover increased the lactic-acid content and also the amount of spoilage in the ensiled mixture. Good quality silage was also made from a mixture of 60% slightly wilted Ladino clover plus 40% maize herbage.
