Race 21 is the most aggressive in Austria, followed by races 34 and 14. In 1966 a new race was found and in 1967 seven more new races. Details are given of the most important stem-rust races in Yugoslavia, Hungary, Italy, West Germany, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia. There are at present no resistant varieties in Austria, and those varieties least affected, with a disease incidence of 10% to 25%, viz.
