The effect of X irradiation on air-dry seeds of O. sativus Brot

, : The effect of X irradiation on air-dry seeds of O. sativus Brot. Z. Acker- u. PflBau, 121: 208-15

Irradiation at doses above 10 kr. retarded development; doses up to 30 kr. reduced seed fertility and those between 40 and 60 kr. also reduced the percentage survival of seedlings. Germination capacity was investigated in the irradiated seeds each year during six years of storage; it began to fall after the third year but there was no relationship between reduction and dose.
