The effect of culture filtrates of some rhizosphere fungi on the growth of tomato plants

, : The effect of culture filtrates of some rhizosphere fungi on the growth of tomato plants. Biol. Z. Armenii. 19: 10, 43-50

The metabolites of certain rhizosphere fungi have a stimulating effect on tomatoes, increasing root and top growth and inducing earlier bud formation and flowering. Fungi having a favourable effect included Cladosporium hordei, C. transchelii, Gliocladium catenulatum, Fusarium gibbosum, Mucor griseocyanus, a Penicillium sp. and Stemphyllium botryosum. Unfavourabe effects were shown by an Aspergillus sp., Curvularia interseminata, Fusarium oxysporum, Penicillium thomii and Torula expansa.
