The histology of the bracbio-cephalic artery in turkeys following heat cauterization of its adventinal layer

, : The histology of the bracbio-cephalic artery in turkeys following heat cauterization of its adventinal layer. Refuah vet, 26: 67-71

The adventitia of the brachiocephalic artery of 4-week-old turkeys was cauterized by the application of heat, and the development of lesions resulting therefrom was studied over a period of 3 months. The relationship between necrosis of the media and sclerosis of the intima in spontaneous and induced cases of damage to the arterial wall is discussed.
