The influence of soil moisture on the frequency of cyano-genic plants in populations of Trifoliam repens and Lotus corniculatus

, : The influence of soil moisture on the frequency of cyano-genic plants in populations of Trifoliam repens and Lotus corniculatus. Heredity, 28: 1, 143-146

In soils exposed to drought there are fewer plants of T repens containing cyanogenic gluco-sides, and fewer plants of Lotus corniculatus containing beta -glucosidase, than occur in most soils A possible linkage is indicated between genes controlling cyanogenesis and those controlling response to moisture stress.
