Caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus experimental infection in kid goats

, : Caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus experimental infection in kid goats. Arquivos do Instituto Biologico Sao Paulo 70(1): 51-54

This study was conducted to evaluate the presence and activity of Caprine arthritis encephalitis virus in the blood, colostrum and milk of infected goats using agar gel immunodiffusion and ELISA, and the disease transmission to 15 susceptible seronegative kids. The presence and viability of the virus in the blood, colostrum and milk of infected animals, as well as the possible infection of susceptible animals by inoculation were indirectly demonstrated.
