Characterization and treatment of a trichloroethene plume in the fractured Stockton formation

, : Characterization and treatment of a trichloroethene plume in the fractured Stockton formation. Remediation of chlorinated and recalcitrant compounds, 2006 Proceedings of the fifth international conference on remediation of chlorinated and recalcitrant compounds, Monterey, California, 22-25 May, 2006: E-23

Chlorinated ethenes have impacted a portion of a bedrock aquifer in Southeastern Pennsylvania for more than 25 years. The impacts occur within an area where public and private water supply wells are a source of drinking water for residential, commercial, and industrial users. The local geology consists of the Middle Member of the Triassic Stockton Formation, which is overlain by approximately 4 m of unconsolidated sandy silt and silty clay.
