Ethological isolation between two stocks of Drosophila adiastola Hardy

, : Ethological isolation between two stocks of Drosophila adiastola Hardy. Proceedings of the Hawaiian Entomological Society. 1976 ; 231: 31-34

Preliminary hybridization experiments between 2 laboratory stocks of D. adiastola indicate that behavioral differences exist despite the apparent fertility of the F1 progeny. The premating behavioral differences were probably established from the time the laboratory strains were isolated since both strains were derived from the same naturally inbreeding population.
