, : First report of an iridovirus (Genus Ranavirus) infection in a Leopard tortoise (Geochelone pardalis pardalis). Wiener Tierarztliche Monatsschrift 94(9/10): 243-248

An adult Leopard tortoise (Geochelone pardalis pardalis) with nasal discharge, severe necrotising stomatitis, dehydration, apathy and anorexia is presented at the Clinic for Avian, Reptile and Fish Medicine of the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. The animal was imported from Ethiopia and shortly after its arrival the clinical symptoms were observed by the owner.
