, : First report of downy leaf spot of walnuts caused by Microstroma juglandis in Southern Turkey. Journal of Turkish Phytopathology 31(3): 113-115

In the spring of 2001, infected plants of Juglans regia in Hatay province of Mediterranean region, Turkey, showed typical downy leaf spot symptoms, especially after moist and cool climatic conditions. Initial symptoms include whitish efflorescence containing fungal structures and spores on the lower surface of the affected leaves, often concentrated along the veins, and a yellowish discoloration on the corresponding upper surface of the leaves.
