First report of powdery mildew on Coreopsis lanceolata L. in Italy


, : First report of powdery mildew on Coreopsis lanceolata L. in Italy. Informatore Fitopatologico 57(10): 33-34

Powdery mildew was recently observed on C. lanceolata in Piedmont (northern Italy). Symptoms of the disease and features of the causative agent are described. The pathogen was classified as belonging to the species Podosphaera fusca. ITS (internal transcribed spacer) analysis confirmed this classification.
