First species of Vatesus captured with Cheliomyrmex (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)

, : First species of Vatesus captured with Cheliomyrmex (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae). Sociobiology 8(2): 385-394

A new species of Vatesus, V berghoffae, is described from Panama, which represents the first myrmecophile captured with the army ant, Cheliomyrmex morosus. It is most closely related to other Vatesus species found with Nomamyrmex and Neivamyrmex.
