After unsuccessful colic treatment it is not infrequent that vets are faced with malpractice claims. Especially if vets sue a horse owner for payment of outstanding fee, horse owners tend to react by suing the vet via counter claim for compensation of damages from expensive veterinary care and from loss of the horse.
