Study on productive performances of multifoliar lucerne in Beijing

, : Study on productive performances of multifoliar lucerne in Beijing. Pratacultural Science 23(7): 19-22

The productive performance of 11 multifoliar lucerne varieties was tested in Beijing, China during 2002-04. Their forage yield, stem:leaf ratio, fresh:dry ratio, regenerating rate and nutrients were determined. All the 11 varieties had a dry forage yield more than 13 tons/ha and a crude protein more than 20%. However, the varieties Forerunner, DK127, DK134 and DK124 had the better comprehensive performance compared to the other varieties.
