The damage pattern of Helicoverpa armigera and Ostrinia nubilialis on maize in relation to landscape attributes - comparing two databases of Hungary at country level

, : The damage pattern of Helicoverpa armigera and Ostrinia nubilialis on maize in relation to landscape attributes - comparing two databases of Hungary at country level. Bulletin OILB/SROP 29(6): 153-156

A simulation approach was developed to investigate if territorial differences in the damage caused by Helicoverpa armigera and Ostrinia nubilialis on maize could be explained by the differences in the landscape structure by using 2 available, independent national databases. Higher agricultural utilization rate for and the increase of the patch size correlated to a higher rate of infestation.
