Problems with water resources and water supplies are found in nearly every country of the world. China is one of 13 countries that face very serious conditions in water resource shortages. Water resources must be saved, conserved and well managed, then water supplies will be sustainable. Hydro-engineering and ecosystem interactions must be considered when constructing systems for water resources.
