The development of river valleys in the northern European USSR, based on the example of the Peza river

, : The development of river valleys in the northern European USSR, based on the example of the Peza river. Akad Nauk SSSR, Izv

Three terrace levels in the Peza river valley in the northern European USSR are assigned to the late Pleistocene-early Holocene, early-middle Holocene, and middle Holocene. Variations in sediment thickness and composition in even the youngest terrace indicate continuing tectonic movement in the late Pleistocene and Holocene. Areas of relative upward and downward movements are identified. Apparently glacioeustatic uplift has had some effect on these movements.
