Presents a detailed cross-section of the Pechenga structure based on seismic, magnetic, electrical, and gravity surveys. Presence of an asymmetric synclinorium is indicated with the formations showing low dip angles in its northern and central areas and high angles in the southern. There is evidence that the southern portion has been raised and moved over the central along a deep tectonic fault. This fault served as a path for the intrusion of plagioclase porphyrites. The amphibolites and quartz-mica schists of the tundra series are up to 1.5-2.0 km thick in the southern area of the structure. Intrusives of considerable dimensions suggest the possibility of mineral deposits in the Pechenga structure.
