Die bayerische Flyschzone im Ammergau

, : Die bayerische Flyschzone im Ammergau. Geologica Bavarica 41(Pages 55-98

Barremian (lower Cretaceous) to Maestrichtian (or possibly lower Eocene) deposits are recognized in the Bavarian Flysch zone of the Ammergau region, Germany, on the basis of microfaunas, and stratigraphically subdivided on the basis of lithologic facies. A topographic swell composed of crystalline rocks in the northern part of the Flysch trough was the principal source of the material forming the deposits. Depositional conditions in various parts of the zone are discussed.
