Einige Bemerkungen ueber Retioliten und Graptolithen

, : Einige Bemerkungen ueber Retioliten und Graptolithen. Neues Jahrbuch fuer Geologie und Palaeontologie Monatshefte

The prosiculae of a Silurian retiolite species are described from the upper Visby marl of Gotland island, Sweden. The different growth stages of the individuals of the group are clearly visible. A young specimen of Retiolites geinitzianus was found with a number of prosiculae nearby which could have belonged to it. The change of location of the reproductive graptolite budding is discussed through the periods of the Paleozoic, as well as some problematical graptolite fossils or graptolite-related fossil organism. These fossils lack the prosicula in their early stage of individual development.
