Les laves andesitiques du Massif Central

, : Les laves andesitiques du Massif Central. Argile 197(Pages 1-5

The andesitic lavas of Volvic, Central Massif, France, have a world-wide reputation for resistance to heat and acid. They are used in place of feldspars in the production of refractories. The lava fills a valley with a granite basement, occurring in seven parallel flows separated by beds of volcanic debris, and is worked by open pit methods.
