New data on the stratigraphy and distribution of Silurian rocks in the Far East

, : New data on the stratigraphy and distribution of Silurian rocks in the Far East. [Obruchev Jubilee Vol]

Hitherto the occurrence of Silurian formations has been known in the Far Eastern Region, Russia, only in the upper Amur river region. Silurian formations have recently been discovered in the Zeya river basin. The sections exposed along the Nora river show that the Silurian transgressively overlies pre-Cambrian schists and granites and in turn is interrupted by younger granites.
