Present-day methods for obtaining iron concentrates of high purity

, : Present-day methods for obtaining iron concentrates of high purity. Pages 3-18 1966

Reviews the iron ore enrichment methods including magnetic and electric separation, gravity, hydrometallurgical, and flotation methods in the USSR, Sweden, and Canada. Methods and results obtained by electric separation and flotation at the Olenegorsk iron ore enrichment plant are given in a table and discussed. Concentrates obtained by magnetic-flotation consisted of magnetites with 71.0-71.5%, 69-70%, and 64-65% iron.
