Eolian sands occur above but not below alluvial gravels of the Rohatec-Straznice- Privoz area, Czechoslovakia. They are considered to have been derived from upper Pliocene sediments, transported westward from their source, and deposited in the period between deposition of the gravels and deposition of fine-grained, cross-bedded sands.
