Problems in quantifying the interaction between surface and ground water

, : Problems in quantifying the interaction between surface and ground water. Wasserwirtschaft 76(9): 371-376

The study addresses problems, which arise in the calculation of the exchange rate between ground water and surface water with depth-integrated numerical models. The range of validity of the usual calculation methods is determined, the order of the errors is estimated and improved calculation methods are presented. On the basis of field data the suitability of different types of measurements used in the calibration of ground water models is discussed.
