The Pocala Cave at Aurisina

The Pocala Cave at Aurisina has been source of study for over a century, and of our thesis degree in view of the enormous amount of fossil finds, largely ascribed to Ursus spelaeus, found therein. This paper is divided in two parts, a geographic-geological part and a historical part, in which the most important events since the discovery of the cave are summarized.
