The climates of Gondwanaland during the Gondwana era in the Indian region

, : The climates of Gondwanaland during the Gondwana era in the Indian region. Report of the

Concludes that an extensive ice age prevailed in India prior to the deposition of the Talchir beds (Carboniferous) at the base of the Gondwana series. The cold climate which continued into the Talchir period of deposition changed gradually to a temperate climate which maintained until the arid conditions of the Panchet stage (Triassic). With the beginning of the upper Gondwana period a moist climate gradually evolved until the end of the Jurassic, at which time the climate of Gondwanaland was mild and warm.
