The climates of Gondwanaland in Kainozoic times

, : The climates of Gondwanaland in Kainozoic times. Pages 332-353 1961

Discusses Tertiary and Quaternary climates of Australia and summarizes data on contemporaneous climatic conditions elsewhere in the southern hemisphere. The Australian evidence indicates that temperatures increased during the early Tertiary, reaching a maximum in the mid-Tertiary that was succeeded by a decline in temperatures and increasing aridity extending through the late Tertiary into the Quaternary.
