Records of the 3359 specimens of amber beetles in the collections of the Museum of Natural History in Berlin, determined down to family or subfamily, in some cases to genus. Remarks are made on the recent knowledge of amber beetles and their characteristic biotopes. The biotope amber forest is discussed based on the material of the Berlin, Copenhagen and Klebs collections.
