Theories dealing with the problems of extinction can be divided into 2 parts, the vitalistic theories and the theories of external and internal natural causes of extinction. Presently the causes of extinction are explained in a theoretically acceptable fashion, the emphasis being on the determination of the concrete factors of extinction under concrete conditions.
