Isoesterases chez le nematode Heterodera avenae. 1. Polymorphisme chez differentes races francaises

, : Isoesterases chez le nematode Heterodera avenae. 1. Polymorphisme chez differentes races francaises. Revue de Nematologie, 41: 99-105

Four strains of H. avenae were studied for their esterase polymorphism. In electrophoresis carried in 7% acrylamide at pH 8 (Tris Hcl 0.1 M) 0.4 mm thick, 2 groups of non-specific esterases were identified; they appeared to belong to 2 loci, .beta. and b, according to their electrophoretic mobilities, their substrate affinities and their allelic distribution. The .beta. locus showed 3 allelic forms: .beta. 0,70- .beta. 1,0-.beta.- but need to be studied in other electrophoretic conditions. In the locus b, 6 distinct alleles may be detected: b 0,60-b 0,70-b 0,90-b 1,0-b 1,1 and b 1,2. Allelic frequencies are reported for the 4 strains but more especially for 2 of them, Fr1 and Fr4. These strains were different from each other either by some alleles or by allelic frequencies. Probably, genetic polymorphism is more important in H. avenae than in Meloidogyne sp. referring to non-specific esterases.
