Observations on the taxonomic status of an Antarctic species, Paraliparis edentatus (Liparididae) with a description of a new genus

, : Observations on the taxonomic status of an Antarctic species, Paraliparis edentatus (Liparididae) with a description of a new genus. Voprosy Ikhtiologii, 302: 179-184

A description of the new genus EDENTOLIPARIS gen. nov. was presented. The genus differs from Paraliparis by a complete absence of pharyngeal and maxillary teeth, as well as by the location of the radials of the shoulder girdle. A nore accurate description of E. terraenovae (syn. P. edentatus), the only species of the new genus was given on the basis of the results of the study.
