The development of the rice leaf folder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae), was tested on different diets to explore the scope of excluding the rice component and select a medium for normal development of the insect to conduct an in vitro assay of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt).
