Alauda 75(2): 171-178

A taphonomic analysis has been performed on 57 Northern Marsh Harrier Circus aeruginosus pellets assemblage in order to evaluate the digestion characteristics of this bird of prey. According to the study of breakage, digestion patterns, this predator belongs to category 5 (sensu ANDREWS) of relatively high bone modificator. The faunal list of this new sample confirms this raptor includes in this site, a high proportion of mammals compared to other vertebrates in its diet including Muskrat Ondatra zibethicus.
