, : Premiere donnee validee d'un balbuzard pecheur, Pandion haliaetus, orleanais identife en hivernage au Senegal en 2005.

First record of an Osprey ringed in central France on 23rd June 2005 controlled in Senegal on 13th November 2005. This record can be considered as important and unusual since the small mainland Osprey population only held 21 breeding known pairs, in 2005 of which only 39 chicks were ringed and coded colour rings were used for distant identifications. The minima distance from birthplace to place of control is estimated to 3960 Kms.
