We report the sighting of Grey-necked Picathartes Picathartes oreas in Mayombe forest, Congo-Brazzaville, on 22 December 1994. This record constitutes the first for the country and is the southernmost locality for the species, formerly known only from eastern Nigeria to Gabon.
