Sediment in Tennessee streams as analyzed from reservoir surveys

, : Sediment in Tennessee streams as analyzed from reservoir surveys. Abstracts, Annual Meeting - Association of American Geographers 1983(Pages 164

Reservoir survey data, primarily from the Tennessee Valley Authority, were used to estimate sediment yields and concentrations in Tennessee streams and reservoirs. The Churchill routing method was used with sediment "cascaded" through the series of reservoirs. Periods considered were usually 15-30 years. Sediment yields from large basins ranged from 100 to over 1000 Mg/Km (super 2) yr. Average basin sediment concentrations ranged from 15 to 870 mg/liter. There were no apparent spatial or time-trend patterns.
