The role of carbohydrases in diets for non-ruminants

, : The role of carbohydrases in diets for non-ruminants. Polysaccharides and polysaccharidases in food and agriculture: 169-201

Feed for monogastric animals can be supplemented with several types of carbohydrases. Their application has a wide range of effects on the degradation of macromolecules present in the diet, the uptake of nutrients and on overall animal physiology. A distinction is made between effects on starch, non-starch polysaccharides and oligosaccharides.
